Virginia Natural Gas (VNG) provides natural gas service to more than 264,000
residential, commercial and industrial customers in Southeastern Virginia. The
company is based in Norfolk, Virginia. VNG continues to be one of the fastest
growing natural gas distribution companies in the country and is known for its
outstanding customer service. Virginia Natural Gas is owned by AGL Resources
Inc., an Atlanta-based energy holding company.
Benefits of Virginia Natural Gas
In the first quarter of 2006, Virginia Natural Gas announced that its progressive value-sharing plan saved customers nearly $5 million in 2005. The benefits realized in 2005 will be shared througout 2006 in the form of reduced natural gas costs. The company's Asset Management Plan has paid customers $17 million in reduced gas costs since the plan's inception in 2000. The plan is managed by Sequest Energy Management, another AGL Resources company.
